	Aultbea is 70 miles to the west of Inverness - about 2 hours journey time. By car: From Inverness take the A9 (North) across the Kessock Bridge. Follow the signs to Ullapool on the A835. Turn left at Braemore Junction (A832). After 32 miles turn right into Aultbea. Cartmel is 500 yards down on the right.
Alternatively, if you want to come the ‘south’ route, turn left at Garve (via Loch Maree, Gairloch and Poolewe), turn left into Aultbea then right at the Aultbea Hotel. Cartmel is 200 yards up on the left.
By air: There are flights from London Gatwick (British Airways); Luton (Easyjet) to Dalcross (Inverness Airport). By train: Trains from Kings Cross (London) to Inverness. Journey time approx. 8 hours. There is a bus service from Inverness to Aultbea. This departs Inverness Bus Station at 17.05 and takes approximately two and a half hours.
